Join Jo Redfearn and Claire Barron’s Yoga and Pilates May holiday in sunny Spain. Our timetable of yoga, pilates and gong meditations has been carefully planned to leave you feeling energised, calm and relaxed. The holiday is perfect for all levels and abilities and is designed to leave you filled with bliss. We will take our sun salutations to Iznajar beach for a memorable day out and tour of Iznajar town and castle. There’s also the opportunity for another day trip and other optional activities such as mountain biking, hiking, swimming and kayaking.
We will be based at Cortijo La Presa, a traditional Andalucian farmhouse, with parts dating back to the 18th century. It’s converted into seven self-contained apartments set around a beautiful sunny patio. The cottages have their own lounge areas and bathrooms. There’s a large swimming pool for cooling off in the summer heat so don’t forget to pack your bathers, hat and sunscreen. Cortijo La Presa is nestled in the mountainous olive groves. At reception you will find a small shop selling the Cortijo’s own first-press extra virgin olive oil, cold drinks and basic grocery items. You will have free use of a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board. Games, books and DVDs are available to borrow free of charge.
Bring sensible footwear as there is a vast network of tracks that lead from the property – perfect for both hiking and mountain biking. The retreat centre has a fleet of top-quality mountain bikes for hire, and a dedicated mountain bike trail centre, which you can use for free. Guided mountain bike rides are also available.
For those with a hire car, there are plenty of places to visit including Priego de Cordoba and Granada. We are offering two optional day trips – one to the nearby castle town of Iznajar. The traditional Spanish white town is surrounded by the largest lake in Andalucia, which has its own sandy beach where we will do yoga and you can swim, kayak, sail, pedalo or simply relax on a sunbed.
Because we’re in the mountains the evenings can get cool so please make sure you have something comfortable and warm such as a jumper or shawl. Food will be healthy and delicious with vegetarian options. Please let us know at the time of booking if you have any allergies or special dietary requirements.
